Lawrence Wayne greets Dr. James G. Wingate, President of Lemoyne-Owen College at the 9th Annual Renaissance Gala presented by Time Warner Cable. The galas have raised more than $670,000 to benefit deserving students at Lemoyne-Owen College. Performers included such notables as Bobby Rush, Kirk Whalum, Wendy Moten, J. Blackfoot, Gary Goin, Ruby Wilson, Don McMinn, Di Anne Price, Will Graves, and newcomers Vunsha Lurry & Marcus Scott.


VIP attendees included the honorable Judge Earnestine Dorse, Dr. Sheila Y. Flemming-Hunter, and Roger Brown.


The Queen of Beale Street, Ruby Wilson enjoys a break after the show with her daughter, who just happens to be one of her back-up singers.
